Travel shrine dedicated to Ishtar/ Inanna / Lilith / Ereshkigal is completely customizable.
 
When we do this box as "Lilith" we usually put Her owl on the cover so it shows when closed. When open a full figure engraved on the left is revealed and the symbol from the front stands behind a small shelf that folds down for offerings.

These images are also associated with Inanna and Her "sister" Erishkegel. This ancient Goddess is the Mother of them All. These images are from approximately 2000 BCE and can be attributed to any of these names. We particularly love Inanna in her flying suits! Was she the first astronaut?
 
There are many images of Inanna we can use from ancient times that aren't affected by copyright laws and want to be able to show more selections, so please contact the seller directly if you want to be part of that process and get the first altar box made! Each item is made by artist/teacher Rev. Sarah Heartsong while in grateful prayer to the deity depicted.

Boxes made like the gold one depicted in the montage will have the left inner side darkened as this symbolizes Erishkegel in the "under world" on this particular box design.
 
The design allows room inside when closed for a few small items, such as votive candle, lighter, incense and a small bottle of oil, perfect for the person on the go! Special all natural, homemade anointing wax seals the dedication to the deity into the altar before it is sent out to the buyer.

Customization options: Changes in stain or the fabric on the offering shelf add no cost.
 
Stain choices include Black, Cabernet, Cherry, Gold, Green, and Walnut.
 
Additions of names, symbols, personal pictures, etc. will have an extra charge depending on time required to add content to the shrine. Contact seller through a message requesting customization if this is desired and a custom listing with all the details of your special box will be created.
 
Velvet for the offering shelf will be black unless you add a personalization to the order with a request for another color. We have many options in stock including red, green, dark green, blue, navy blue, purple and gold.
 
NOTES: We are in the middle of reformatting all our designs to new software with our laser engraver. The size of the images may vary somewhat from the pictures as we tweak the designs. All altar boxes naturally vary in look due to differences in the wood and how that specific box takes the stain. All boxes are made to order and we are a small business, so plan timing accordingly. They can take up to 3 weeks depending on how busy we are and if we have stock at hand that fits your specific color choices. Due to the quality of wood each piece is unique and each takes stains differently. There may be places where the stain takes darker and others hardly at all. This makes each shrine unique. Sometimes faces and/or shapes pop out in the pattern of the wood if one looks closely enough.
